Why is Victoria Beckham using crutches at her Paris Fashion Week show?
View Date:2024-12-23 23:00:29
Victoria Beckham is sporting a posh new accessory during Paris Fashion Week: crutches.
Beckham appeared in a signature all-black look for her brand's Friday fashion show, but fans noticed that she was also using crutches. According to Instagram Story screenshots obtained by People, her former professional soccer player husband David Beckham shared an apparent broken foot in a medical boot last Thursday.
"Apparently my wife's little accident in the gym was a clean break," Beckham wrote on Instagram, adding heart and sad emojis.
A video shared by Vogue showed Beckham in crutches kissing David, who was seated in the front row next to the magazine's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, at the show's end. She also wore a boot in the video.
"So proud of you for many reasons but this season threw a lot at you and again you just did what you do best 🩷 we love you @victoriabeckham," the soccer superstar captioned a picture of his wife on Instagram. In the snap, Beckham appeared to begin blowing a kiss in her crutches.
Cruz Beckham was seated next to the family patriarch and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, Harper Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham rounded out the affair. The family’s second oldest son, Romeo Beckham, did not attend.
The show was also attended by former tennis star Maria Sharapova, supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, singer Willow Smith and fashion influencer and "The City" alum Olivia Palermo. The show was briefly interrupted by PETA animal rights activists who were protesting the brand's use of leather.
David Beckham's alleged mistress RebeccaLoos speaks out on Netflix doc, says rumors were 'true'
"No garment is worth slaughtering and skinning a sensitive animal. @victoriabeckham, wanna be the champion for vegan leather instead," Peta UK wrote on Instagram. "This is the FOURTH fashion show disrupted by PETA entities this season. We don't plan on stopping until fashion industry drops animal skins!"
