Lainey Wilson accidentally splits pants during tour
View Date:2024-12-23 20:19:48
Lainey Wilson nearly gave fans an explicit show after suffering a wardrobe malfunction.
The "Yellowstone" actor and country star's pants ripped in the midst of performing at the Faster Horses Festival in Michigan Saturday.
"Y'all just about got a real show," she said with a laugh as she returned to the stage in jeans, according to videos shared on social media.
Wilson, 32, took the moment in stride as she continued to joke about the incident with the concertgoers.
"There's a first time for everything, and I'm glad it was y'all that I split my pants wide open in front of," she quipped, adding, "You can't make that up! I'd have never known had my people back here not seen it."

On Sunday, the "Hang Tight Honey" singer shared a video of herself on Instagram performing a strength test with her pants by doing squats and jumping.
"Adding this into my routine before a show so my britches don't rip like they did last night at faster horses," she joked in the caption.
Wilson is currently on the North American leg of her tour to promote her upcoming fifth studio album "Whirlwind," which will be released on Aug. 23.

The Grammy-winning singer unveiled the 14-song track list on Instagram last month and shared some insight into what her fans can expect.
"Writing (and) recording these 14 songs over the past couple of years has helped me stay grounded in ways you’d never believe," Wilson wrote. "This album brought me back to my roots and made me feel at home during times when I couldn’t have been further away, and my biggest hope is that it gives you that same sense of comfort that it has for me."
"Whirlwind," Wilson's fifth studio effort to date, is the follow-up to 2022's "Bell Bottom Country." The album earned Wilson a trio of Top 5 hits on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, as well as a Grammy Award for best country album.
